Press Release: Golden Valley Community Foundation Joins the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation’s Community Affiliates Program

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The Golden Valley Community Foundation (GVCF) announced its new partnership with the Saint Paul & Minnesota Community Foundation (SPMCF), joining its statewide Community Affiliates Program. This strategic alliance connects Golden Valley’s place-based philanthropy with the deep operational expertise and financial stewardship of Minnesota’s largest community foundation.

Through the Community Affiliates Program, the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation collaborates with local boards, donors, and volunteers to build permanent, community-informed charitable resources. Golden Valley will benefit from the Foundation’s core support areas, including:

• Governance & Board Development: Building local leadership capacity and operational strength.

• Fund Development & Donor Partnership: Expanding local philanthropy and stewarding permanent assets for long-term community impact.

• Grantmaking & Community Strategy: Aligning grant allocations with local values, identity, and future vision.

Through this partnership, GVCF joins a network of dedicated affiliate foundations across the state supported by the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, which collectively manages over $ 1.9 billion in charitable assets and grants out more than $ 2.6 million in fiscal 2025 to support local communities.
