WHO WE ARE
Global Golden Valley
celebrates and connects
cultures in Golden Valley
We bring together individuals from other countries and those interested in learning about other cultures in a variety of activities. GGV is a non-profit program of the Golden Valley Community Foundation, which provides some financial support.
According to the latest census, nearly 2,000 Golden Valley residents (or 9.6 percent) are foreign–born. More than 40 countries are represented. Many of those countries have been highlighted in the various programs and activities we’ve presented during the past six years.
A core group plans and organizes the activities – drawing upon volunteers interested in helping with a given event. Committee members have included individuals originally from China, Ethiopia, Mexico and Romania, as well as US -born residents who enjoy travel and/or experiencing other ethnic or cultural traditions.
