All We Can Say Is That We Are Grateful.

It's time to pop the champagne, gather with friends and neighbors, and celebrate another successful year in Golden Valley. As we reflect on the year, one thing is clear: We're extraordinarily lucky to work with and be supported by community members like you. You've gone above and beyond, helping Golden Valley be a place that people are proud to live in. From volunteering, to donating, you've shown that when real people come together, making a real difference is easier than you think. So, before we sit down and craft our resolutions and goals for the new year, we wanted to take the time to reflect and give thanks for what has been a truly extraordinary year here at the Golden Valley Community Foundation.

Our Board Looks Back On The Year

From Day One, our team of volunteer board members has been the beating heart of the foundation. They continue to engage with our community members, and turn the feedback they receive into actionable steps that improve the well-being of residents just like YOU!

And this year, they did more of that than ever!

"In 2025, we celebrated what makes Golden Valley truly special—our people," Treasurer Linda Loomis said. "From hosting our largest-ever Pride Festival with over 7,000 attendees to honoring our board chair as Citizen of the Year, the Golden Valley Community Foundation is proud to be part of a community that comes together, supports one another, and creates lasting connections."

Founding member Helene Johnson agreed, noting that the community events were a huge part of expanding our reach and bringing people together.

"I am so proud that the Foundation was instrumental in reinstating the Golden Valley Festival," she remarked. "From facilitating the initial meetings to extensive marketing at various events to providing some seed money, Foundation board members made this a priority. We had heard from so many community members that they missed the event."

We're taking our successes with us into the new year. The Golden Valley Community Foundation enters 2026 with a renewed commitment to advancing community engagement, connecting people and places, and supporting initiatives that enrich the lives of all residents.
