It’s that time of year.

That time when your inbox and social media feeds will be flooded with bids for your attention. Give to the Max day is just days away, and organizations throughout Minnesota rely on your financial support to set them up for success in 2026.

And the truth is? We’re one of them.

But we want to do more than create noise online. We want to create real change for Golden Valley.

Real changes like the ones kids, parents and teachers at Meadowbrook Elementary were able to make when our Small Sparks grants allowed them to build a “Calming Corner” for students to refocus and regulate during moments of stress. Real Changes like the purchase, assembly and distribution of hygiene kits to families in need through our local nonprofit partners.

Real change like our neighbor Rose McGee, who used funding from GVCF to help support her Sweet Potato Comfort Pie project, where she and her team hand-deliver pies and conversations to those who have been impacted by domestic and racial violence.

Real change, like live musical performances for local senior day programs, care facilities and senior living communities provided by professional musicians. Our GVArts Fund also supports performances by local artists and features young artists delivering stunning performances of renowned orchestral pieces for local audiences!

Real change requires real funds. But the secret is, it doesn’t take much.

Even $25 can help us provide our community with financial support to pursue their dreams and help sustain Golden Valley’s reputation as one of Minnesota’s best places to live. Since 2011, we’ve reinvested more than $850,000 of your donations here where we live in Golden Valley. Pretty good for an all volunteer organization!
