Ballet Arts Youth Enseble

BAYE is a group of dedicated dancers who want to broaden their dance horizons and gain pre-professional and performance experience.
BAYE members participate in performances such as The Nutcracker and Spring Ballet with opportunities to dance in more than one role, perform in the BAYE Concert in the spring, and participate in local festivals and performances such as Cathedral Dance Festival.
Requirements:
-
Dancers must be 10-18 years old.
-
Dancers must attend and be accepted at BAYE auditions held in May.
-
Dancers must regularly attend all BAYE company classes and rehearsals.
For further details, please email the director, ashley@ashleyballetarts.com, to receive a BAYE info packet.
Ballet Arts Youth Ensemble members have many extra opportunities outside of normal technique classes. The main benefit is tuition-free class time and the opportunity to be part of a group which provides the foundation for pre-professional dance experiences and friendships with other dancers who have similar goals.
Performance Opportunities:
-
Once a year (typically in the spring), the Ballet Arts Youth Ensemble holds a concert featuring the BAYE dancers and the choreography they have been rehearsing.
-
BAYE represents ABAA at community events such as the Edina Art Fair, Golden Valley Art Festival and Dances At the Lakes.
